About Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC)
Learning how to love your wrap for either new or older squishies? Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC) is a great option for both beginners and seasoned wearers. The great thing about this carry is that it doesn't take experience to wrap, but is a step up from PWCC. (This carry is basically the SAME thing as a PWCC, expect you use the "cummerbund" on the inside and then wrap the "X" on the outside!)
While this carry is only useful for the first few weeks when using the tandem variation, you can use this carry for as long as you please with one baby. It is easy to learn and doesn't take long to tie. You can pre-tie this carry, but it is not poppable. (Meaning you will have to tie and untie to get baby in and out, but you don't have to take off the whole wrap to do so!) Another big plus with this carry is that it is very nursing friendly, making it an especially perfect option for newer babies! I prefer to use a woven wrap for when baby starts to get a little heavier because the stretch tends to sag as baby grows.
A size 5 worked well for me, but the average size needed is a 6. (What size this carry requires for you is also how you can determine your "base size.")
