About Front Cross Carry (FCC)
Front Cross Carry (FCC) is an excellent carry for all ages. Passes can be spread all the way up to the neck of an infant, or placed under the arms for older babies, or you can mix it up and go one arm in and one arm out! FCC is a poppable carry making it excellent for quick ups and downs, or shopping trips. This carry can be pre-tied, or you can easily wrap it around a sleeping baby while seated. FCC is a very easy carry to adjust making it perfect for nursing. You can easily customize this carry to suit your comfort with minor variations like a shoulder flip, or you can tuck the head of young or sleeping baby in one pass for extra support (never cover the face).
FCC can be done in a size 4 (depending on the size of you and your baby). Most people find that they require less length to do FCC than to do FWCC, but again, it all depends sizes. This a great option for tandem wearers because you can pretie it and be ready for anything, or use it to tie off a one wrap carry. Since this carry does not utilize the 3 passes/layers needed to keep your baby secure, stretchy wraps aren't recommended.
