Balance: Just An Act Of Life


81Qjr+7OxNL._SL1500_Ever have one of those days where you feel like a ball of tension, down in the dumps (or anything in between) and just can't shake it off? Since our bodies and minds don't always align, we can be left feeling unbalanced... even feeling "on edge". Ever since I found this oil, and got in the habit of putting it on all 3 of us girls in the mornings, I don't feel the stress of trying to "do life" nearly as much as before.

If you don't already know, life with toddlers is never dull. When you add gentle parenting (ie. LOTS of redirecting and the need for LOTS of patience) to the mix, the days can get VERY testing. Frustration from redirecting, disappointment from failing to redirect, exhaustion from repeating myself, guilt for "not trying harder,".... they are just a few examples of how a typical terrific two's day can leave me feeling.

End that day with constant reminders that your laundry is STILL piled up, your dishes need to be finished, there are blog posts to finish (and start), etc, etc. It never ends! How does this make me feel you may wonder? Frustrated, sad, disappointed, overwhelmed, stressed, and pressured (which all inevitably led to depressed as well). And nobody likes this kind of stress on the brain.

Screen-Shot-2015-03-30-at-9.03.53-PMAfter gradually adding this blend to my daily "wake up routine" (brush teeth, wash face, etc), I started noticing a smoother flow in our days. I feel like I have more patience with the girls. I find I have more energy and am more willing to redirect. And I feel more organized/motivated to get things done (ie: tidying up, laundry, dishes). I feel like I am less on edge, and less tense (both physically and mentally) throughout the day.

balance (1)I have also noticed that I am less likely to fall victim to the weather if it's gray outside. And less of the sadness gets the best of me. The little things get less of me, and I feel good about myself and my day.

I dilute this blend in a roller bottle (using fractionated coconut oil) and roll it on our feets every morning. I have a small dram of it that I keep down stairs (diluted as well) so that I can use it aromatically/topically throughout the day as needed. Remember it's better to use a little bit at a time throughout the day, and that a little goes a long way!

Another favorite way of ours to use Balance is at bedtime. We put it on the feet and right now we use it in a sleepy time blend (mixed in a roller bottle). The bottle includes: Serenity, Balance, Lavender, Frankincense, and a drop of Wild Orange diluted with fractionated coconut oil. (I will have a recipes section coming soon!)  We have also ordered our first diffuser and will be diffusing Balance and Serenity in the evenings so stay tuned for that story coming up soon!
